Drop-in, one-bowl kitchen and bar sinks without faucets are "dropped" into a hole cut out of a commercial kitchen or bar countertop. Also called self-rimming, a rolled and finished rim, or protruding edge, it sits above the countertop and overhangs the hole in the counter keeping the sink in place.
