2.2 Public Content You Share

You may post or publish content in public areas (e.g., product reviews, comments, forums) (collectively, “Public Forums”). Content posted in Public Forums is publicly accessible. Avoid sharing personal information that could identify you. If you do so, you assume the associated risks.

4. Technologies We Use to Gather Information

4.1 “Do Not Track” (DNT) Signals

Some browsers allow users to send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Our Services do not currently respond to DNT signals. Data collection continues as described in this Privacy Policy, even if your browser transmits a DNT preference.

4.2 Cookies

4.3 Web Beacons, Clear GIFs, Pixel Tags, and JavaScript

We and our service providers may use web beacons (pixel tags/clear GIFs) and JavaScript to count visitors, understand email engagement, measure content and advertising effectiveness, and improve user experience. 6. Children’s Information

We care about the privacy and safety of children. Our Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We also do not knowingly sell or ship products to children under 13. Children under 13 should not create accounts, make purchases, or provide personal information through the Services. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information and will not use it except as necessary to protect the child or comply with law. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s online activities and help us comply with COPPA by ensuring no child under 13 submits personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it. Minors under 18 should not use the Services without parental guidance and should not submit personal information.

7. Sharing of Information with Third Parties

We may share personal and non-personal information with affiliates, licensees, joint venture partners, and trusted service providers that help operate our website, run our business, and deliver products and services. These parties may only use information to perform services for us and must process it consistent with this Privacy Policy.

7.1 Service Provider Categories

8. Disclosures to Other Third Parties

We may share both personal and non-personal information with third parties that will process data under their own privacy policies. Use of our Services signifies your consent to such sharing and processing. Examples include:

10. Information You Share Through Our Site

Public posting features (e.g., reviews, Q&A) allow you to submit personal or non-personal information to third parties via our site. Information posted in Public Forums is public. Avoid posting personal information; you do so at your own risk.

11. Links to Third-Party Sites

For convenience, our Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, advertising, products, or content. A link does not imply endorsement. Review the privacy policies of any third-party sites before sharing personal information.

12. Your Rights and Choices

12.1 Consent

If you do not agree with our handling of personal information, please do not submit personal information to us.

12.2 Opt-Out of Text Notifications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive automated marketing text messages about our products and services. Message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. To opt out, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP. You will receive a confirmation of your opt-out request. Opt-out requests made through methods other than these commands may not be effective.

12.3 Updating Your Information

You can update your contact details through your account settings. Upon request, we will provide access to, correct, or delete personal information you have provided, subject to legal obligations and record-keeping needs. Deleting certain information may also delete your account. Removed content may persist in cached or archived pages, or may have been copied by other users.

12.4 Tracking Technologies

You can configure your browser to block all or some cookies, or to alert you when cookies are set. Disabling cookies may impair certain site features. Third-party analytics companies (e.g., Google Analytics) may use cookies and other technologies to provide their services.

12.5 Targeted Advertising Controls

To limit use of your data for targeted advertising, you may contact us (Section 18) and adjust your browser or mobile device settings (e.g., reset advertising identifiers or limit ad tracking). You may still receive ads, but they may be less relevant. Data may still be collected for analytics, research, or internal business purposes.

12.6 Opt Out by Mail or Email

If you do not wish to receive marketing communications or do not want us to share personal information with partners as described in this Privacy Policy, please email or mail us with your name and address and indicate whether you wish to: (a) stop receiving marketing communications; (b) stop sharing personal information; or (c) both.

13. Data Security

We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. Sensitive data transmissions (e.g., payment card and account details) are protected using industry-standard encryption (e.g., HTTPS/SSL). You may see indicators such as a padlock icon or “https” in your browser’s address bar on secure pages. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You can help protect your information by using strong, unique passwords and keeping your software up to date.

Note: We are also certified by VeriSign, Inc. and our systems are tested and certified by McAfee Secure team daily so that we have full protection at all times and we are capable of conforming to the standards set by the industry. The same as these very stringent steps that we have taken to guarantee the safety of your information, there is no completely safe way of data transfer through the internet or any other wireless network and that there is no completely safe security system.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update or revise this Privacy Policy at any time. We will post the updated version on our website with a “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

15. Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) Compliance (Effective July 1, 2024)

15.1 As a Texas based company, we also abide by the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act Compliance. Applicability is outlined below:

The TDPSA grants rights to Texas residents and imposes obligations on certain businesses that conduct business in Texas or offer products or services consumed by Texas residents and process or sell personal data. Some entities (e.g., state agencies, nonprofits, higher education institutions) and data subject to federal laws (e.g., GLBA, HIPAA) are exempt. Employment and business-to-business data are generally excluded.

15.2 Your Rights Under TDPSA

Texas residents may: (a) confirm whether we process their personal data and access it; (b) correct inaccuracies; (c) delete personal data; (d) obtain a portable copy of personal data; and (e) opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. Beginning January 1, 2025, residents may designate an authorized agent to submit opt-out requests on their behalf.

15.3 Our TDPSA Responsibilities

We: (a) limit collection of personal data to what is reasonably necessary for disclosed purposes; (b) provide clear privacy notices; (c) obtain consent before processing sensitive personal data; (d) maintain contracts with processors governing data handling; (e) conduct data protection assessments for higher-risk processing; and (f) respond to verified consumer requests within required timeframes.

15.4 Submitting TDPSA Requests

To exercise TDPSA rights, Texas residents may contact us via the methods in Section 17 (Contact Information). We will authenticate requests and respond within timeframes required by law. If we deny a request, residents may appeal through our internal process, and, if unresolved, may contact the Texas Attorney General as permitted by law.

16. Data Retention Policy

16.1 Principles

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet legal, accounting, tax, or reporting requirements, maintain business records, enforce our agreements, and ensure security and fraud prevention. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it in a secure manner.

16.2 Retention by Category

  • Account Data: retained for the life of the account and for a reasonable period thereafter or as required by law.
  • Transaction & Payment Records: retained for periods required by tax, financial, and audit regulations.
  • Customer Support Records: retained to document interactions and improve service quality for a reasonable period.
  • Marketing Preferences & Communications: retained while you remain opted in and for a reasonable period thereafter to honor preferences.
  • Job Applicant Data: retained during recruitment and, if not hired, for a period consistent with legal requirements and our business needs.
  • Cookies & Analytics Data: retained per cookie type and provider settings or as configured in our systems.
  • Security & Fraud Prevention Data: retained as needed to investigate, detect, and prevent incidents.

16.3 Legal Holds & Disputes

If we are subject to a legal obligation, investigation, or dispute, we may preserve relevant data beyond standard retention periods until the matter is resolved.

16.4 Deletion & Anonymization

When retention periods expire, we securely delete or irreversibly anonymize personal data. Backups are overwritten in the ordinary course of our backup cycles.
